A Chance To Begin Again

Happy Easter!

Me and Chibi have been observing these swan plants every time we go for our afternoon walks together and it's so amazing to see the caterpillars finally go into their cocoon forms. When I was a kid, the common life cycle exemplar is the life cycle of a monarch butterfly. So I think it suits the title of my post today "a chance to begin again", which is based on this weekend being the Easter Holiday. From my understandings, Easter is the day to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus. Hmmm, I wonder how chocolate eggs got involved?

Other than a new beginning, I tried something new today. I've been hearing about macaroons so much that I had to try it. I bought two from the McCafe today, one mango and one raspberry flavoured. It did meet my expectations, hard on the outside, chewy on the inside and a creamy filling. Mmmmm, SO GOOD >.<

I liked the mango one the most <3

More than a week ago was David's sweet sixteen. Nawwwww~ big boy now :3

We didn't get to celebrate on the day, because the guys had just returned from their tramp expedition. They returned pretty much all disabled for the day, so we decided to celebrate the next week. We went to Kanda, Sushi and Grill, which is one of my top favorite places to eat and the best place for our birthday boy's never ending stomach capacity. We also went to watch Jack The Giant Slayer in 3D, because big scary giants just had to be more realistic =_=" the film was based on the fairy tale Jack And The Bean Stalk. I think it was awesome other than half the time I was covering my eyes and ears...

We arrived at the cinemas more than an hour early and since no stores were open on Good Friday, we sat down and veined for a bit. I like this photo so much T^T *tears of joy*

During the week the boy's team had a friendly game against Pak and I was able to go film the game :D
It wasn't really friendly though...

I did make a short highlights clip, but it's not on my computer and I can't be bothered to transfer it right now from my iPad... blablabla... So if you wanted to watch it, you can hate me till I'm bothered to post it :)

Life Is Sweet

I have been wanting to blog for weeks! Ever since school started, life has been keeping me busy. Finally a YOLO moment has hit me. I'm suppose to be doing my design brief analysis and visual brainstorm for my industrial design class right now, but I am more inspired to blog at the moment than work... So if this becomes my last post in my life time. The reason may be that I never lived to tell the tale after tomorrow's industrial class.

Life

Hmmm.. so update on life. Well a few weeks ago it was me and Chibi's 6 months. -YAY-

It was on a school day though, so we couldn't really do anything special. I also had really bad timing, because I had to attend a dinner with my dad at this formal business dinner thingy that night...

Not only did I have other plans on our anniversary, but also Chibi got me presents and I didn't =_=" yes, i know... worst girlfriend of the year...

On the left is a white tiger poster! Which I have had my eyes on for soooooo long and every time when I visit Botany Town Center, I would go stare at the poster to satisfy myself. And of course, every time I'm at botany Chibi was there too, so he noticed -^ ^- Also, the funny thing was that when he gave it to me in it's rolled up packaging. I actually thought for a sec that he gave me wrapping paper... so it was an awkward moment in my head, when I thought he bought me wrapping paper for me to wrap his own present in. Yes, I have my retarded moments and plenty of them too.

The cutie on the right, we've decided to call him Baby Po. Doesn't he look exactly like Po from Kungfu Panda 2 when he was a baby!! I love him so much 8(>.<)8 just look at his eyes!! LOOK AT THEM!!! And of course, nerds candy for a nerd like me :)

School

The beginning of each new school year is when school life is at it's most least stressful point.

This year, my courses are: Mathematics with Calculus, Chemistry, English, Industrial Design and Physics.
Unfortunately economics clashed with my calculus class, so I had to make a life changing decision. I can still pick up economics next year though, but I'll have to work my butt off to catch up...

This is probably the best pick up line I have ever come across! I am such a maths freak...

I've recently joined my school's robotics team. Not surprisingly, I'm the only girl... ( Xiaofan, you're not a woman in my books!! ) I am 100% noob at this though, so I'm sorry guys for being useless!

Chemistry is one of my favourite subjects at the moment *gasp* and yesterday I just heard about my results. This was my first Chemistry assessment and my paper was a perfect mark!! It was a breath taking moment, because my observation was different to the smart people in my class and I was gonna cry =_=

Sports

During one training I didn't feel so well so I decided to sit aside and watch. Knowing me, obviously I would take some photos. Sadly, the boys were moving to fast!! So they turned out blurry and I had to use very very strong effects on them to hide that...

Hmmmmm I attempted to make this look like a drawing thing... ATTEMPTED

* SWOOSH*

Food

Some of my tummies favourites:

Green Tea Frappachino from Starbucks
Yoghurt For Men -Mango and Coconut Flakes- (DON'T JUDGE ME!! it's really good)

Deep Fried Ice Cream
(I was too full at the time to finish it... *sigh* regrets...)

Skincare

It's nice to take care of your body, because it simple makes you happy and refreshed.
Drinks Up Hydrating Mask from Origins
Cotton Facial Masks (I've only tried the grape seed extract one at the moment -purple packet- LOVE)

Don't you hate it when you're trying to go to bed, but you get that spark of inspiration and you're like, "WHY!!" That's pretty much what forced me to make this D.I.Y Lip Scrub... in the middle of the night! I got this cute lip sorbet, lip balm -vanilla- from Seryna in my little Christmas gift box. Thank you Seryna X3 However I had to many that I needed to use up before I can open this one... Also, because of this adorable packaging I decided t change it into a lip scrub. Which turned out great :)

Just because I like this photo, but I don't want on vain on Facebook. so I'm gonna vain here instead :)

My life is full of so many sweet things and people -^ ^- I'm very grateful, thank you.

Coconut Ice Fudge

Yesterday Sabrina and I went to the Pakuranga Night Market for food and headphone dock charms :)
(if your reading this Sabrina, sorry for almost getting you killed... note to self: never cross the road with me)

Before Shakira bought fudge from this stall at the night market and I remember the samples were soooooooo good. So yeah... I couldn't resist XP I believe this one is a Valentines edition <3
Guess who's it for -^ ^-
(I've already devoured the chocolate one sorry...)

Sabrina and I picked out really cute headphone dock charms, which basically are charms that you stick into your phone or ipod docks. I thought this one was pretty cute :3
Idk why I got this =_= but it's awesome XD I can use them as cups or bowls to serve water, soup, fruit, salad, rice, etc :3
I had to restock on eye drops for school and they gave me the cutest sample bottle ever XD I also picked out another adorable contact lenses case since it was cheap.

Captain Alan decided to give me these Lady Gaga Heartbeats he got from his last trip to China :)
Apparently they are high quality fakes LOL

 Milkis <3

One of my favourite places to eat would be Kanda: sushi and grill
Their fried chicken with secret recipe is the best XD

So photos from Mad Marine taken by other Madsters :)

Team Yellow: SPONGEBOB!!

I mentioned in my previous blog that we went kayaking and my kayak flipped =_=

Back To Schoolbag

School is about to start again! So better start packing my school bag now XP

I "USE" to have a more preferred school bag than this one, which was stronger and bigger, but I decided to donate it to a burglar earlier this holiday... So until I find a new suitable school bag, this will have to do. I don't dislike this bag or anything, but it's pretty weak and I'm just those types of people who packs way to much to school than they need to... Last year Seryna and Anh described my bag as a survival pack and Alan said I keep bricks in my bag =_= I see what they mean, but I just can't abandon anything DX

I always hated going to war with my earphones in my bag, so I decided to find it a home :)

Yes, I have 2 pencil cases... DONT JUGDE ME!! I love stationary >.<

Some essentials: Tissue, Lip Balm, Mint, Contact Lens Case, Hair Tie Case, USB and Earphone  Case

 My electronics: iPad and Calculator

Lunch Bag, Lunch Box, Snack Box and Chopsticks

 Notebook, Fineliners, Wallet and Deodorant

Books (I only need 2 each day, depending on the class)

 Of course my PHONE!

And a drink bottle, because I need fresh water to keep me hydrated throughout the day :)

~How I pack~

It's important to keep my drink bottle, pencil case and mint handy. For the chopsticks... well you never know when you need to chop someone ;P

The bigger objects (Books, Lunch, Big Pencil Case, iPad, Fineliners and Notebook) stay in the big pocket, ordered from big to small order.

The medium size things stay in the second pocket, avoiding them in the big pockets, so I don't need to dig to the bottom of the bag for them.

And the small things go in the very front for easy access.

I know there's a lot... So what things do you think I shouldn't pack and is there anything I missed??

Also don't forget snacks!!

Mad Marine Camp

I'm a survivor!! I just returned from a 3 day camp :)

For the past 3 days I have been at the Mad Marine Camp on Motutapu Island. When I saw the cows on the farms there, I was like, "I'm back!" Which brings back memories of the life and death situation I had with them, during my Duke Of Ed Bronze expedition tramp... However this time I left the island with a totally new point of view. Understanding the beautiful history and the natural environment of the two islands, Rangitoto and Motutapu. Which truly inspired me to make a difference when I return to my community and school.

Yellow Team: aka SpongeBob!!
Me and Alex were representing our school, Ormiston Senior College at the 2013 Mad Marine Camp. As always we ended up together in some sort of event again. If only Cara was there >.< then it would be like good old days. Coincidently we were also put into the "yellow" team, it felt like it was meant to be :) Yellow was our previous whanau colour and also my favourite colour :3

For the past 3 days, we met heaps of people from a lot of other schools all around Auckland. Everyone was so funny and smart, with awesome personalities :) I had a chance to make many new friends, which I truly suck at. Since I can never really make the first move to say hi... However I eventually got to know the members in the yellow team (Neel, Jenny, Monique, Freda, Reane, Caitlin, Stephanie, Arianna and Mathew). It was really great getting to know them all :)

To preserve my phone batteries I didn't take much photos... but there's still plenty here ^ ^

Turning Mad:

~Day One~
Arriving at the camp: field facing the beach O_O
Day One Dinner: Group Made Pizza!!
Michael and Clinton, if you ever read this just to let you know you guys are awesome :)

~Day Two~
6am morning walk to the historical sites... SUN RISE
I've gone back to my horrible sleeping habits this holiday... still not really a morning person atm XP

The old army place

Arianna holding a Kina found in the rock pools :D looks delicious XP

We also went snorkelling, kayaking that day. It was my first time experiencing falling out of my kayak and it just had to be when I had my glasses on =_= I was really looking forward to snorkelling, because I love swimming with fishes and experiencing their environment. Our group saw many beautiful Snappers and other fish that I couldn't name from the top of my head XP

~Day Three~
On the last day we climbed to the summit of Rangitoto
This was my second time visiting Rangitoto and Motutapu Island and it has been a wonderful experience. Thank you Mad Marine!! You've truly turned me MAD XD

~Marine Planning Photography Activity~

Freda: We Are The Future
Arianna: Be A Hero

Alex: Do It Yourself!

During the group activity, we had to take some photos around the beach. So I was able to use my phone and show my editing software skills XP this was one of my favourite activities, because people were complimenting on my photography. Which truly made me happy :)

~Buy of the day~
Cute Contact Lens Case :3
