Valuing Money Comes From Working Hard For It

For the past week I've been working at my family friend's new store. It was a last minute call in as they needed extra hands, which left all my other plans hanging... The original plan was that I go work for them during the week before Christmas like every other year. However this time it wasn't serving customers, but setting up their new store. I was definitely glad that I didn't have to face people. Even though I know it's good experience to interact with different people, but ever since last year's incident, where this customer yield at me to the point where I started crying... Yeah people are scarrrrryyyyy =_=" Anyways during this week my boss basically left me and another Chinese lady to set up the entire store literally from scratch... I worked for 6 days straight and 8 hours a day. It was a good reminder to not take money for granted, as I have been spending like crazy lately.

Oh and I also got to drive to and from work when my parents come to fetch me. Yep... Still got my learners licence after 2 whole years! I was going to go for my restricted licence this holiday, but like I said I had to leave that plan hanging. Cheers to Alan for showing me the course though!

I went to get my eyes checked recently, because I knew they have gotten worse and I needed a new prescription before I go for my restricted. Sigh... it turns out that now my eyes have different prescriptions. Meaning I have to remember which contact lenses go in which eye from now on! I swear I am gonna go completely blind someday (sob).
So now my left eye went from -3.75 to -4.00 and my right eye went from -3.75 to -4.75 in this one year period.

I've always enjoyed swimming, but ever since my eye sight have gotten worst I could barely see in the pools anymore... Wearing contact lenses at a pool is definitely a no no! Though recently I discovered these awesome prescript goggles!!! I bought them from my optometrist and I can't wait to try them out when the weather gets warmer. I would finally be able to see the huge wall clock timer in the pools :D

On the last day of work my earphones retired on me. So I decided  to go pick up a new one after work. I really wanted beats for a long time now, even though I know they are so overrated... But what stopped me was the fact that my paycheque for this week was worth the headphones and I decided whether it was worth it or not and obviously I said no, because I totally worked my butt off! And also the other reason is that Chibi would definitely go rage mode at me XP

So I settled with these Red Skullcandy Ink'd. These kinda reminds me of beats O_O
I wish there was a bigger range in colours... Hopefully they last long!

While I was picking up my earphones, I went past Cotton On and decided to get a plain grey T-Shirt that was on a 50% sale. While I was at the counter paying, the store people... (what do I call them?) Asked if I wanted to buy anything from their range of products that go forth to charity? So I picked up this bottle of water and decided to check out their website to find out more when I got home. It's definitely impressive with how much they have done to support the people in poverty in Africa.

Heads up on my next possibly post, depending on when the packages arrive...
Thanks to Seryna's help, I was able to order a few beauty products from Yesstyle!
Can't wait for my packages to arrive and blog about them :)
See you then ^ ^

My Mashimaro Family

Meet my current Mashimaro Family ^ ^

These were surprisingly a lot more comfortable than my hyper platinum black circle lens, which were a bit more expensive. I missed my chance to try out my chichi cat lashes so please excuse my almost non existing lashes.

My parents came home last night already fed... Leaving me the choice to eat whatever, so I decided to eat at Daruma for the first time. The place was so cute and the sushi was presented so beautifully. Ehhh, but I wouldn't prefer going there when I want to eat the size of an elephant. It's pretty expensive for my liking XP I'm still a loyal fan to Kanda, Sushi and Grill.

OMG I loved their packaging!!! However the heart shaped cross-section of the pocky wasn't very obvious...
Mmmmmm, pocky is such a great snack to munch away at while studying.

Two terms ago (about half a year) I bought the aloe travel kit from the body shop, which had sample sizes of their products from the aloe range included this calming facial cleanser. I have already repurchased the day cream, which I've also really loved. I use this cleanser on a daily bases whenever I don't need to deep clean my skin.

Once the holiday started, Chibi and I had a double date at Kanda, with Chibi's buddy and his other half. Sigh... the weather was pretty horrible when we were heading there, but the food in the end was definitely worth it.

Oh and by the way, I was wearing the purple contacts in this photo, but you can't really tell... I'll post some more selfies with them on next time. I just couldn't get myself to post the ones I took -.-" sigh... need some photogenic genes... and excuse the hairless brows DX I have been considering to expanding my rookie makeup skills and fill them in, but I swear they are most likely gonna just look like worms.

Hehe~ Photoshop has been really fun to experiment with :D

Reward After Practice Exams

Today I had my last practice exam and I've truly never felt so fail in life...
Guess it comes to show that your not a genius unless you work for it XP
Luckily this was just a practice exam... phew... such a huge wake up call O_O

Anyways, after school today, my sister and I went shopping around botany, because exams really stressed me out >.<! Here are some stuff that I picked up today :D

Just testing out what I can do with Photoshop with presenting my blog ^ ^
Gosh, I'm still so noob...

I've been planning on getting converse shoes for a while now. Like recently I've went to check out a store in the city, and this pair was on special from $100 to $90. I didn't end up getting it and was planning to go to Dressmart with my sister some day. However today at Botany, Stirling Sports set up a stall in the mall with a 50% off sale and I found these for $50, so I bought them! The only other colour there was grey, but I stuck with peach (closes to orange), even though I guess it would be hard to match with stuff, but it's not like I'm an expert in fashion anyways...

Also "Happy Mid Autumn" (a day ago) MOONCAKE!!! mmmmmm :P

Revenge On Contact Lenses

Today I went to the city with my sister, brother in law and my cute nephew :3
My sister (Shelley) and I were after some circle lenses. We both both black circle lenses and I also got a purple one, because of the buy 2 get one free deal.

Hyper Size Platinum Black, both eyes -3.75, one year

I also purchased the same purple lenses as to the ones I bought previously with the wrong prescription. However they didn't have it in stock with my correct prescription, so I ordered it and it's going to come by mail around 2 weeks time.

Hyper Size Platinum Black, both eyes -3.75, originally $80 a pair I think... and the special is 2 pairs of Hyper Size fro $160 and a free pair from another brand, which I forgot the name, but I'll post it when I comes in the mail. They also gave me a free lenses case.

I choose not to buy it on Yesstyle during the free shipping deal for $10 NZD... REGRETS!!
Doll Kiss Two Toned Cat Stockings, $25... T^T however it's good quality.

Winter is over so knitwear is finally affordable :D
Factory, India Knit, Vintage White, originally $29.00, sale $14.95

How can I say "no" to pandas >_<
Factory, WWF Canvas Tote, Panda, originally $16.95, sale $4.95

Me and my sister at my Aunty's place having hot pot

Shopping at Botany the other day with my Aunty and Cousin:
 Jayjays

Mwahahaha, after so long I finally achieved my goal of owning couple shirts >:)
A small gift for Chibi for our one year anniversary <3

Unfortunately we couldn't celebrate together because he was at tournament... I was almost able to go back my dad was concerned since it was a boys team. They just returned back to Auckland today after spending a week in Rotorua competing in the zone 1 regional basketball tournament and they returned as the CHAMPIONS for 2013!!!! I'm so proud of the boys :') (tears of joy)

I decided to purchase Photoshop CS6 Extended last week, because I desperately needed it to work on my English assessment at home. After using it for the pass 2 weeks at school, I have fallen in love with the magic it can do O_O I know it may have been stupid to purchase the real thing, but the student and teachers edition is 80% of the original one, which to me is a huge deal. Besides spending my own money on it will encourage me to work hard and prove that the investment was worth it. Sigh... so Asian -_-"

Special Occasion In A Dress

I didn't go to my school ball this year, but I made up for the chance to wear a dress the very next day for my sister's wedding :) It was a minor celebration, but a every special moment for my sister and my brother in law <3

I got my dress on the day during the morning from Dotti. It's really rear for me to buy dresses (second time), so I ended up staying in Dotti for around 2 hours trying as many dresses as I can...

I'm getting really obsessed over The Body Shop products. I just recently finished my Aloe Day Cream, which I have already repurchased. Along with that I also picked up some things from the tea tree range, which is the Tea Tree Blemish Fading Night Lotion and Tea Tree Oil. I also bought the Elder Flower Eye Gel using my voucher that I got from collecting points.

Never Too Old For Toys

MY CHILDHOOD!!! Anyone else still have their's??
(Tamagotchi v3, v4 and v5)

Meet my new friend LEO :)
The Warehouse was having a toy sale and these 135 cm tall teddy bears were on special for $70, originally $120. My eyes were glittering when I saw them so my dad decided to get this beast for my birthday present :)

Early birthday present from Henry ^ ^ Thank you Henry and have a safe trip back to China :D
If  anyone was wondering, it's a panda pillow speaker XD

I've recently used up my Clean & Clear, Morning Burst Skin Brightening Cleaners. Which I do not use daily or even in the morning, but I find it very refreshing to use after training. So I decided to repurchase it, but instead I found the facial scrub version. Which I think would cleanses my skin better, since my skin is all sweaty and dirty after training.

I had to repurchase my prescription contact lenses. Sigh -.-" -3.75 in both eyes... So blind DX

I have still been in the search for coloured contacts ever since my fail purchase with the wrong prescription. So I decided to ask my Optometrist to introduce me to their coloured contact lenses range. They recommended me lenses from my current clear lenses brand. Freashlook. The price is similar to my clear lenses, but I'm not so sure which colour to purchase at the moment. Since I would need to be dedicated to it for a whole month. So I'm deciding to purchase grey and blue daily contact lenses to trail and then get my regular monthly lenses once I've decided.

The Paper Bag Princess

~1st of July~

It's half way through the year now, hooray XD

On Saturday, I accompanied Sabrina to go shopping at Manukau City Shopping Center. We especially wanted to visit Equip, because Sabrina wanted to buy the buckle backpack that I recently purchased there. Also I had a 50% of voucher, which was very convincing for Sabrina and Anh (who wasn't there). However Sabina didn't end up buying one, but it wasn't a loss since she received a 50% voucher as well for if she decides to change her mind. I picked up a burgundy buckle backpack with cat prints for Anh, because Cats is her weak spot :3 meow~ (I forgot to take a picture of the bag though sorry... it was pretty >.<)

I also got these bows from Equip for $5, originally $10
(I really need to control myself when I see pretty bows now...)

If anyone was wondering, I got the 50% off voucher by signing up online to Equip Friends :)

One weak spot of mine are Pandas and another one that I'm sure a lot off people share with me is cute stationary!!! I got these two, 5 subject divided A4 Notebooks from Typo for a special of 3 for $18, Sabrina picked up one for herself as well so we can get the special.

On Sunday, Seryna, Anh and I went to the city specifically to browse through thrift stores on K-road.... We came across this shop called "Paper Bag Princess", which had cool drawings on different parts of the store walls telling the story.

Miso Ramen!!! Mmmmmm.....
Seryna and Anh were a bit amazed when I devoured it to the last drop of soup. It's because the soup's the best la!!

This week my school is performing our very first production called "For Today", on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Me and Chibi got tickets for Friday since we don't have the Basketball Social on and it's our 10 months :)
