Excuses for not getting work done at school have been around as long schools have been in business. The excuse "my dog ate my homework" has always been a classic joke. As everyone believes that it's obviously a lie, well what happens if it really came true???
Like today my PE uniform somehow disappeared from the washing lines, when I found them my dog was lying next them. Luckily they weren't eaten but before my dog has chewed my shoes into shreds, so what happens if they really do get eaten?? I'll have to explain to my teacher and it's going to be a pain to convince them that "my dog ate my uniform".
