Me And My Minions Of Daisies

 Hi Blog,

Today I went to the Botanical Gardens with my buddy Shakira. It's been so many years since I have been there and the revisit reminded me of all the great childhood memories I had spent there. I also pulled of some pretty good shots using my phone and a simple editing app.

I tried defining my eyes today by adding eyeliner and for the first time, false lashes.
I bought Chi Chi Cat Lashes

My Mini Gallery Of The Photo Shot Of The Gardens

The Pond
When I was a kid, I use to always feed the ducks there and get angry when I want to feed a specific duck, but the other ducks take the bread instead. I know I was a retarded child.

The Arch Entrance To The Rose Garden

Inside The Rose Garden

Growing In The Middle Of The Pathway
Well I thought this flower was very lost, because it grew on the side of the pathway where the rock wall is... It looked really pretty though so I decided to take a picture of it too.

Pink Rose
Yellow Rose

Roses are a must at the Botanical Gardens.

Though I did risk my life from being eaten alive by the bees to get these shots. Yes, I am terribly  terrified of bugs.

Natural State
I didn't edit this photo at all, which I really liked because the background was already blurred. I love my phone's camera.

My Minions

How can I miss the flower that I am named after. This photo wasn't edited at all as well. Just naturally has a blurred background.

I showed the Momo Tea Restaurant in Meadowland to Shakira, where we grabbed dinner around 9.

Again it's 1 in the morning, I must go sleep now, because I need to go school "today" for physics tutorial...

Exam Is The Time Of The Year For The Nerds To Shine

HI BLOG!!

It's been a while since I last talked to myself... Well I have been busy with my studies as usual, NOT!! leaving work to the last minute is a really bad habit. I've also been neglecting my laptop every since I got my Samsung Galaxy S3. My dad bought it for me before the practice exam which wasn't a really good idea since it was such a distraction with it's pure awesomeness. It's just so beautiful and amazing, "inspired by nature." Though it's definitely over-sized for my hand, but I still love the S3.

I've been taking pictures with my S3 so I don't have a picture of itself, but you can admire my awesome phone cases instead. By the way my S3 is white, 16gb.

This is my hello kitty phone case, it's a soft rubber type and my white phone just suits this pink case so much! I got it from Chinatown in Auckland for $18.

How can I ever say no to pandas. This panda phone case, is a hard shell one and it's just so adorable! I have been helping my friend, Shakira (aka BOSS!) at the Pakuranga Night Market every Saturday since September. Which gave me the chance to know a lot of the surrounding stalls. So I got this case from a phone case stall for $15. YAY! Even though I wanted the Chopper phone case from One Piece, but unlucky for me they sold it before I could come around again with money...

After exams I also got myself a Logitech iPad2 Magnetic Cover Keyboard as as a prize for myself, for owning all the year 12 Level 2 Mathematics students in the practice exams, with one full mark paper in Calculus, one mark away from full mark in Algebra and the only student getting Excellence in Probability and all 3 papers. Also for coming second in my chemistry exam which I full on just fluked, and got pay back at my science teacher who has been bitching to people about me that I would fail my exams. Pshhhh, bitch please. Though I will update that story next time. Anyways the keyboard is just so cool! I literally carry my iPad and keyboard everywhere.

Other than Apple tablets, my grandparents got me a drawing tablet from China during their last holiday. I have heard so much about how comfortable it is to use a tablet to draw on the computer and now I can experience it myself. I used GIMP a free image manipulation software, because I am to cheap to get Photoshop. My anime master Hannah-chan and RA, both recommend me a free drawing software called SAI, which I am about to test out after this blog. So I'll post later on about how that went and maybe start posting some drawings from now on.

Other than my update on my technological life, I have a small story to share about my love ~ life.

This is CHIBI, well that's what I call him. I don't know if I am allowed to blog in his name....

Hmmmm...

Well he can tell me when he reads this.

Anyways long story short:

I love him <3

However "sister before, mister," spending time with my 2 besties is also something super special to me. During the year the time we got to spend together got shorter and shorter, because of our busy lives and our own relationships. Which made us enjoy ever moment we have together even more.

Got my Christmas present early from Seryna. Thank you! The lip balm smell so good, it's so tempting to taste it.

Today I got to spend the whole day with Seryna and Anh. Watching "Barbie and the Three Masketeers," yes... three 16 year old teens watching Barbie movies together, we also had yum cha (Chinese Fooooood) and just wondered around.

We have been best friends for around 4 years now and we finally decide to get "acknowledged" friendship bracelets. Yes, Seryna I stalk your blog. Your friendship bracelet are very special :) I just need to go get them back from the workshop. Anyways the photos of our friendship bracelet are on my buddies blog, http://www.unicornatemyhomework.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/we-carry-on.html  so go check them out if you want. They are pretty awesome friendship bracelets and we've decided to add more charms as years pass, because we ain't that rich ok. Also check out Seryna's blog while your at it. It's honestly amazing!!!

Anyways it's 1 in the morning now so I am going to bed. I'll test out SAI tomorrow. Good night~

2012 Wishlist

Yay! It's finally July, not only that it is the coldest month in New Zealand, it's also the month of my birthday. My birthday is now in 29 days and I am looking forward in turning 16. July 31st, lucky last day of the month. Though I know people who don't even know that there are 31 days in July, so I guess my birthday doesn't exist on their calendar...

Anyways the purpose of this blog is to write up my wishlist for Seryna and Anh or if there is anyone else who reads my blog (yeah I know no one else does). I did witness Anh discovering my birthday present in Seryna's room the other day. So I don't really see the point of this wishlist, I can be for next year I guess?

2012 Daisy's Wishlist:
  • Drink Bottle, that I can take to basketball training and school. Preferably light weight, easy to wash and maybe some pretty tinted colour (as long as I can see the water inside) and Asian styled ones if that isn't to much to ask for.
  • Alarm Clock, that doesn't tick and scare the hell out of me when it goes off.
  • Window Markers, so I can write study notes on my windows.
  • T-shirts, sweaters, hoodies, I prefer casual baggy clothes because they are comfortable.
  • iTune card or other accessories for my iPad 2.
  • PE bag that I can carry around school, that's big enough to hold my basketball shoes, T-shirt, shorts, socks and deodorant. (My current one is dying)
  • Bracelets or necklace, that's small and light weight and that I can wear daily, for school and sports.
To keep the options open anything cute, useful, or has panda. I like stationary, pretty notebooks, books, food, typical Asian stuff really.

If you know me well, I guess helping me decide on makeup, jewelley or skin care stuff would be something new. I don't really own many and I am sure people around me knows more about them than I do.

Food will always make me happy, if you need a back up plan.

Just some photos that I took today:

I like taking pictures after showers, because I feel clean and refreshed. Also my hair feels really nice and puffy.

You can't really see my rings in these photos, but I really like it and I am finding a range of ways to wear it to show the unique chain link.

My Pikachu hat! I keep forgetting to take a picture  of it, well here it is. It was $10 at chinatown and it's really warm. It was a must buy.

This was from a family friend who visited today. I thought of taking a picture and edited it on my iPad. I think it looks pretty cool. Suitable for this season.

I missed YOU

I haven't updated for 2 months, even though I promised to update more regularly...

Well I have a lot of photos to post ^ ^

I have occasionally been tiring out eyeliner and bbcream. Though I don't use makeup for school, because I have basketball training everyday.

My basketball shirt arrived in the beginning of term 2. If your an anime freak you probably know who number 11 is in Slam Dunk and Kuroko's Basketball. Unfortunately we couldn't get our names printed on our uniform, but apparently we could at the end of the year and then we'll wear the same uniform next year. I also got some new basketball shoes "women's high dunks" from dress smart. On the right these are the same model as my shoes but they have pokemon on them! There were so many nice stores in dress smart! Yeah it was my first time there haha.

I don't know what I was doing? It was my first night at my new house and I felt like taking photos of myself.

I recently have been browsing on Yesstyle. OMG so many pretty asain stuff and the website is in English. So helpful! Yes I am Chinese, yet I can't read or write my own language. So disgraceful...

I found these cute whistle necklaces. To bad I don't have someone to wear it with hahaha forever alone.

T^T

Me, Anh and Seryna celebrated her half a month late birthday at Nando's in Botany. It was my first time at Nando's and I had to go through the deep thinking process of comparing it to butter chicken. Which was my original plan when we went to botany.

My family celebrated our successful move into the new house, so we had hotpot party, perfect for winter. It was also a surprise for my Aunty's birthday (one week away since this picture). When we got out the cake I was surprised finding my name on the cake instead.... Don't know what my mum was thinking.

Who knows these two cuties XD

Jason and Pilsuk from dream high. It is currently my favourite Korean drama. I checked out 2 episodes of dream high 2, it was really disappointing and didn't watch it.

Dream High (1) highly recommended ^ ^

From term one till now I have been working on this jewellery piece for my technology assessment. It is an abstract form of my school's Pukeko norm.

It's a bracelet with a chain that connects to a ring. I made all this out of silver wire and a 50 by 50 mm silver plate. Excluding the blue ribbon and the two rings that are chained together. That was just something extra that I made on the last day (today) during class.

I love my HDMI cord, because I can watch my crunchyroll anime on my LED tv. The term 2 holidays starts today so I must start hibernating and catch up on my anime.

 This is my new room!!

The bed is a queen size, but in the photo it looks huge, yay!

I had a picture of my desk, but I lost it somewhere....

This is my favourite half of my room. You don't see a couch in a bedroom often do you ^ ^ I also really love my bookshelf and my floor lamp.

This was originally my sister's 5 piece drum set, but after learning for a year she lost interest. So I guess it's my turn to start trying it out ><

Last of all BUBBLE TEA!! Taro is definitely my favourite ^ ^ What's yours?

Well this is so far what I have updated... Since it is the holidays maybe I can find more spare time to post.

BTW this was rushed if you see fail spelling or grammar, then sorry... English was never my strong subject at school :P

School Isn't Just About Studying

It's not everyday that your school staff takes students to a pub at night... Haha don't get the wrong idea, nothing illegal was involved. It was an awesome night, me and friends from the debating team (Shakira, Nate and Alex) and their parents participated in a quiz night held at the Celsius Bar in Botany Junction. I didn't really help though, only answered 2 questions (based on maths). Our team (The Avengers) got 9th out of 15 teams. Note: we we're the youngest group there. We ended up getting owned by grandmas and grandpas.

Forgot to take a camera with me last night... but there was a picture online, I think it's really nice. I promise if I visit again I'll take some nice pictures.

The outdoor bit... it was to cold last night to sit outside.

Today, Happy ANZAC Day.

Even though it's suppose to be a holiday (no school) I still turned up at school at 10 in the morning. It was worth it though, because it was the guys first official Basketball match this year. After watching them I can't wait for the under 17's girls season to start. Today I went to help do the timing and the score keeping, this is when my pro mathematics skills came in handy I guess.

OSC vs MH

  50   ~    87     loss for us =.="

Apparently those guys were year 13's, so I guess it was pretty good since most of the guys in our team were year 11's.

I found it funny how all the guys in our team were Asians (mostly Chinese) and only one guy on their team was Asian and he was quite pro though.

It was a good chance for the guys to test out their formations.

Don in "HI" formation

Jackie's layup... (I think this one didn't make it in though.)

Felix was super cool! Many shots and good defense. Found a pretty funny picture. Hope he doesn't see this.

It's amazing how high he jumps O.O

Xiao Fan was the tall one on the team, but the guys on the other team were even taller. Still he manage to get many rebounds and awesome defense.

These guys got really bored in the last quarter, didn't get to go on.

David tired to avoid the camera haha to late.

Brendan was super serious, his shots were amazing, but not as accurate as usual, I guess the pressures got him there.

Felix SHOTS!

And he scores

Layup or Hook ....

can't tell

Lol

In my head: miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss

Reality: gets in....

The other teams did a lot of fast breaks in the first quarter, which really used up their energy by the time it was around the third and fourth quarter.
Great Jobs Guys! 4, 15mins rounds was a long game (total 1 hr). There was a moment in the last quarter when you guys did an amazing shoot! To bad I didn't record it. It was so awesome, you could see how the ball just flew from one to another (super swift), that definitely caught the other team off guard.

Anyways hope to watch more of you games. And yeah I kept my promise to post more often, but this post seems to long again... Basketball is just to awesome ^ ^

Growing Up SUCKS!

The first term holiday is almost over, which mean time for school!! I haven't been posting lately (not a good habit), even though no one reads them, but I still need to get into the habit to.

This holiday was mainly catching up on sleep, having many basketball trainings (honesty my legs are almost dead), also watching anime and browsing though the net (especially youtube)

Here are some photos from my iPad... (some taken during the first term)

Taking care of my skin at this age is really important. During the holidays, I have been spending a lot of time looking after my skin.

I use clean and clear, even though I should also experience with other brands, but so far my favourites are...

Morning burst: It's not strong, so it's suitable for when I just woke up and just need a gentle wash.

Toner: I just like it....

Moisturizer: It's light and lasts the whole day and there's a new one which has sp15 in it, so I am hoping to try that out after this one.

Also the Deep Cleanser in shower facial wash (didn't take a picture): I use it almost every night, especially when I just got home from training. It uses the steam from the shower, to make the cleaning super effective and I leave it on for a minute while I am in the shower and when I rinse it of my skin feels super soft.

I have been using different types of cotton facial masks (didn't take picture): moisturizing, whitening and cleaning out dirt and oil and yeah stuff like that. They are really nice and effective. Thank you Aunty!

Pork and Cabbage filled Dumplings

Mmmmmmmm.....

These were pre-made, but I can make them.....
when I am bothered too.
Easter Eggs ! They were really nice. Thanks Zaiyou!

I just had to receive them when I promised to go on a diet.

Note to self: never go on diet near holidays (eg Chinese New Year, New Year, Easter, Christmas, etc)
Anh and Seryna are making printed T-Shirts for Business Studies at school (I'm in Economics....) so I joined in and made a Hello Kitty T-Shirt for myself.

It looks pretty professional.
Finally no basketball training! Can rest for a few days.... hehehehe paint nails

Tiger Print French Tip

People love leaving surpriseson my iPad....

Most of them are Seryna and Anh.

I just thought this one was a nice one (not using any photo booth effects)

Someone in showing me how to use a Graphics Calculator in Yr 12 Calculus.

If you can't see it says STUPID

My dad took me to one of his business dinners.

Ordered a glass of fresh watermelon juice.

Yummmmmmmm

At the entrance of the restaurant, saw a tank with the biggest goldfish I have ever seen in my life O.o

Apparently the waiter told me it was pregnant.

Studying for Calculus internals in the first term.

Another surprise I found.

Mr Johnson, my awesome English teacher, because of his classes I don't hate English as much now.

A piece that I took almost 2 months to finish in art class.

* it looks better than in the picture

In Economics classes preparing for Spirit Day

GO GREEN!

Initiation i was using the camera as a mirror to tie my hair, but people came along and took pictures. I guess this is a nice one.

Well that was a lot to catch up on.... To avoid these huge posts, I will post more often to make it quick and sweet.
